Collins McKay has been appointed as the lead consultant for the phased refurbishment of a 150,00oft2 office building in the City of London. The building, owned by clients in the Far East, received a new reception and end of journey facility in 2023, a project which Collins McKay managed. The building is now subject to a refurbishment of the office floors with the objective of enhancing the building’s energy efficiency and providing upgraded office space.
The work, requiring installation of new heating and cooling systems, LED lights and subsequent Cat A+ or B fit outs, needs to be undertaken in stages to manage building logistics and operation, key given the presence of retained tenants on some of the floors.
“This is an exciting project which relies on various consultants to deliver it successfully and I’m delighted that Collins McKay is leading the team on what is already proving to be a successful project. One of the refurbished floors has already found a new tenant and the asset management team are confident of securing new occupants in the near future” Tim Collins, Managing Director, commented.
